Follow these steps to unlock 100GB of cloud storage, automatic backups, and more—available only on Android devices with your Metro Flex plan.

Download the 
Google One app.

Get it from the Play Store to begin the setup process.

Step one

Turn off your Wi-Fi to verify eligibility.

Open the Google One app to confirm you're a Metro customer eligible for the 100GB benefit, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Step two

Activate Google One.

Activate Google One by creating a new account. Current Google One customers must cancel their existing membership and wait for it to end before reactivating with this offer. Make sure to turn on Backup to start saving your memories and files.

  • Google One gives you cloud storage and automatic phone backup to keep your photos, video, contacts and safer in the cloud. Plus, you can share your storage and plan benefits with up to 5 others.

    Access Google One through one.google.com or by downloading the Google One app from the Play Store. [Note: Automatic mobile backup is only supported on Android devices]

  • If you’re on an eligible Metro® by T-Mobile plan, the cost of a 100GB Google One subscription is included in your rate plan at no extra cost with options for more storage. For more storage and extra benefits, you can purchase a 200GB or 2TB plan billed on a monthly recurring basis. Currently, for Metro to cover the cost of the Google One membership you must activate your membership within the Google One app from an Android device.

  • If you’re on an eligible Metro® by T-Mobile plan, the cost of a 100 GB Google One subscription is included in your rate plan at no extra cost. You can upgrade your Google One storage allotment through the myMetro app or Metro Customer Care by dialing 1-888-8METRO8 if you exceed your storage limit.

  • You will need to download the Google One app from the Google Play Store, if it’s not already on your device, sign into a Google account to register, then set up mobile backup. Once you’ve set up your membership, you have the option of accessing your Google One member benefits at one.google.com or through the app. [Note: Only supported on Android devices for activation]

  • Every Google Account comes with 15GB of storage shared across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos.

  • Google One subscriptions come with additional storage (plans start at 100GB) that can be used across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos. Drive works the same way as it always has. The difference is that with Google One, you get access to more storage for your Google Account and can share your plan with up to 5 additional people.
