  • You can switch to a Metro Flex rate plan and get the same amazing Metro Flex deals as new customers on select devices when you stay at least 12 months and trade in your phone.

    You can switch your plan at any Metro store, by calling CARE at 1-888-8Metro8, by going to My Account on metrobyt-mobile.com, or in the myMetro app.

  • You can join Metro Flex in any of the following ways:

    Existing Customers (changing plans):

    • Go to any Metro by T-Mobile store
    • Call CARE at 1-888-8Metro8
    • Visit metrobyt-mobile.com and log in to “My Account”
    • Go to the myMetro app and select “change plan”
    • Call 1-888-8Metro8 and change plans via the interactive voice response.

     

  • After 12, 24, or 36 monthly payments, you can trade in your phone in working condition, and get the same great phone deals as new customers on select devices. The longer you stay, the more device options you have.  For more information on the phones available at time of trade in, check back at metrobyt-mobile.com/metroFLEX     

  • Yes, a working phone trade-in is required.

  • Yes, free phone offers are available when adding a line to an existing account. Free phone offers are dependent on the Metro Flex rate plan you choose and if you’re bringing a number or need a new number.  

  • No, ID verification is not needed for rate plan migration or upgrades. 

  • No. If there is a verified ID on the account already, customers do not need to provide identity verification information to add a line. If there is no verified ID information on the account, the customer adding a line will need to provide ID information.
  • Yes, you can change plans at any time. However, moving to a lower cost plan within the first 6 months of activation or adding a line, you will incur a one-time rate plan downgrade charge of $50 to move plans. If you don’t want to pay this charge you can leave Metro at any time without having to pay, or you can wait 6 months on your current plan. 

  • If you make your payment prior to disconnection, your time will continue to accrue. Any lapse in service will restart your eligibility clock.

  • In as early as 12 months from when you activated your Metro Flex plan, you can trade in your working phone and get the same great phone deals as new customers on select devices. We will send you updates as you reach 6-, 9-, and 12-month milestones toward your next device. Self-service Metro Flex tenure tracking is coming soon.  

  • If you have AutoPay set up when you switch you will continue to get the $5 AutoPay discount for the first month. 

  • You are not required to be on AutoPay, but you will not get a $5 monthly discount if AutoPay is not set up.

  • No, only the first line on the account receives the $5 AutoPay discount. 

  • We currently accept a valid debit card or credit card as eligible forms of AutoPay payment.

  • Yes, you can set up AutoPay on your account before moving to Metro Flex and take advantage of the $5 AutoPay discount.
