What to know:

 

MetroSMART Ride support will end on March 13, 2025. After this date, the MetroSMART Ride device and app will no longer function, and your account's connected car device line will be removed. You will no longer be charged for this service. The decision to discontinue MetroSMART Ride is part of our ongoing efforts to streamline our product offerings and focus on providing the best possible services to our customers.

  • You can keep it, but it will no longer be functional after March 15, 2025. There is no need to return it.

  • No, there will be no refunds issued for the MetroSMART Ride device. However, you will no longer be charged for the service after March 13, 2025.

  • Your data will no longer be accessible through the MetroSMART Ride app after March 15, 2025. We recommend downloading any important information before this date by going into the Metro SMART Ride app and navigating to Menu -> Account -> Export Trip History -> Select Full history or date range -> Export. Any trip history associated with the app will be sent to the email on file as an attached .csv file. 

  • Currently, there are no plans to offer a replacement service for MetroSMART Ride.

  • Customers will receive notifications via email and SMS about the discontinuation of MetroSMART Ride and the steps they need to take before the service ends.

  • No, any MetroSMART Ride lines would be canceled, and no new charges after that date  should reflect on your account.
